Spring coat

The coat I crocheted for Violet. The yarn is Rowan Ribbon Twist in Ribble. Previously it was Beth from the Rowan Ribbon Twist Collection, which was a lovely jumper but pretty much unwearable because the neck was so wide it fell off my shoulders all the time. So I'm a lot happier with it in its new form. The pattern is here at the Garnstudio/Drops Design website which I have only recently discovered and love - loads and loads of free knitting and crochet patterns. Plus some lovely ones for toys.

I wasn't too sure about the odd buttons but they're growing on me. I didn't have four the same and so I made do with what I had, usually the way with stuff I make.

Crocheted hearts blanket

I've just finished crocheting this blanket for a friend. The pattern is from Adorable Crochet for Babies and Toddlers by Lesley Stanfield. I've made a few things from her book and they've all turned out really well, including some incredibly cute shoes and a toy tomato. You can find the book here on Amazon.

The little green bear I made for an Etsy swap.

And a little bag for him to go in!

Prototype teddy

I knitted this teddy/cat for Max's birthday. He was really easy to make, just a knitted rectangle folded over and sewn down the sides and gathered in to make the ears and feet. I crocheted him a neck band. I'm planning on making loads of these to sell...

Pixie Hat

This is the hat I've just finished crocheting for Violet. The pattern was free from http://www.sweaterbabe.com/product_cp18.htm. I made it in the 6-12 months size as Violet has quite a small head but should have gone for 12-18 months really, the turnover at the front comes down but still looks ok. I love the shape, will probably make a few more hats in the same style.

Here you can see the stitch, called silt pattern stitch - lovely.

The back view - so cute!

It does up underneath with a button, obligatory in Violet's case or it wouldn't stay on her head for more than a few seconds.
